The Melchior Islands are located between Anvers Island and Brabant Island in Dallmann Bay, and were named for a Vice Admiral in the French Navy by Charcot in his
1905/05 expedition. They were also the site of our last (unscheduled) landing before heading back out into the Drake Passage, and I think one of the most lovely ice
caves / ice arches we saw.
