This image was made standing at the gunwhale on the bow, looking straight down as we were preparing to raise the anchor. Very large, centimetre sized snow flakes
were falling, and what I like - apart from the arrangement of the shapes against the almost black water - is how the light dusting of snow, where it has accumulated
on the larger chunks, provides the contrast that makes the image work.
Shot using a Canon EOS 350D (my wife's camera) and an EF-S 18-55mm f3.5-5.6 lens at 55mm. |
