We saw lots of leopard seals. Well, lots meaning maybe a dozen all told. There's something very reptilian about them. They have a narrow head, about the same
thickness of their necks, which is rather serpentine. They can grow up to around 12 feet, and its easy to see how a large specimen could give rise to tales of sea
monsters and sea-serpents ...
