We were on board the Professor Multanovskiy - which is about 70m long, around 13m abeam and was built in 1983 for polar and oceanographic research. We
deliberately chose a relatively small ship (only 48 passengers on board) as we didn't want to feel like we were on an ocean cruise "through" Antarctica. We
also thought the smaller vessels would offer more flexibility and greater opportunity for landings. All I can say is our experience with the Multanovskiy and
Quark Expeditions was first class. Absolutely outstanding. I also cannot praise the expedition
team of Martin, Jamie, Jeff, Luke, Delphine, Raymond & Tim highly enough.
