Barrientos Island is in the Aitcho Islands group at the northern end of the Antarctic Peninsula. This was our second landing, and we were buzzing with the
experience of being able to be so close to such plentiful wildlife so unfazed by human presence. There are probably only a handful of places in the world
where that is possiible - the Galapagos, I'm told, being one of them.
