Well, it was actually about a quarter to midnight, but you get the point. Desolation Island is at the northern tip of the Antarctic Peninsula, and this was one
of very few sunsets we actually got. Given we were there in the height of summer, sunset and sunrise were often well after midnight, and as late as around 3am
further south.
