Liskamm sits at the head of the Grenzgletcher and, of the peaks visisble from Gornergrat, only Weisshorn and the twin peaks of the Monte Rosa massif -
Dufourspitze and Nordend - are higher. Liskamm has two peaks, one ot the east and one to the north-west. This image shows the eastern ridge and peak, which
is the higher of the two, at 4,527 metres. The border between Switzerland and Italy runs along the ridge line.
