		This image was one of those happy coincidences, when I was looking for something else entirely. I was out at the end of the Mt Hay road, overlooking the Grose River Gorge, waiting for sunset, as I had in mind something dramatic with the last rays of the sun spilling into the gorge depths. But Mother Nature didn't oblige. As I was packing up, I turned around and the sky was the most beautiful delicate pink shading into blue. I tried different compositions, some including the foreground, but I like this one the most, as I find it very peaceful and it conveys best my experience of the moment. Shot on Fuji Velvia ISO 50 using a Nikon F80 and an AF 80-200mm f2.8 lens at 200mm.
