This was our coldest day, at -37 degrees celsius. It was much colder in the Arctic than when we visited the Antarctic, when the coldest temperature we had was around minus 15 C. But then we were in Antarctica at the height of summer, and we were in Canada at the end of autumn and beginning of winter. When it's this cold, any skin exposed to the air starts to hurt pretty quickly, so I had my neck gaiter pulled up and my beanie pulled down so that only a small circle around my right eye (which was looking through the viewfinder) was not covered.

Shot on a Sony a7R IV and an AF 100-400mm f4-5.6 lens at 168mm.
