More wild weather .... dramatic ? Impressive ? Moody ? Yes indeed. Pleasant to be out in ? That's another matter entirely. The Lakes District was quite
something, though. Ullswater starts as a narrow strip of water at the Penrith end, surrounded by round, bald hills. As it makes its way south, the hills become
sharper, with more exposed rock, and the valley sides become more steep.
