The outback is such a different colour palette - ochre red rock and earth, intense blue skies, myrtle green trees, faded brown spinifex and splashes of yellow
wattle flowers here and there. And the light ... well, I always thought the way people talked about the harsh light in Australia was a bit of a
cliché, but having now lived in England for a year, I agree there is a real sharpness and clarity to the light in Australia, especially in places like this.
Shot on Fuji Velvia ISO 50 using a Nikon F80 and an AF 24mm f2.8 lens. |
