When I visited Central Australia, I flew into Uluru and picked up a rental car to drive up to Alice Springs to meet my then girlfriend (and now wife). Many people
don't realise it's around 450km from Uluru to Alice Springs ... but that's bye the bye. Anyway, I arrived in the middle of a particularly large and thick dust storm -
visibility was minimal and so on the way past Mount Connor the first time, there was nothing but a brown wall of dust to be seen from the side of the road.
Fortunately, a week later, it was much clearer.
Shot on Fuji Velvia ISO 50 using a Nikon F80 and an AF 80-200mm f2.8 lens at 105mm. |
