Although it seems immutable, the Port Campbell coastline is constantly changing under the force of the ocean. In 1990, part of a rock bridge known as London Bridge
collapsed into the sea, severing the connection between the mainland and the now-orphaned rock outcrop and in 2005, one of the Twelve Apostles collapsed. Given the
regular battering these soft sandstone rock formations are subjected to, I guess it's not too
surprising.
