What I found extraordinary about wandering amongst the ruins at Tintagel is to try to imagine what life must have been like for those who lived there hundreds of
years ago. It was a blustery, none-too-pleasant day when I was there, but by no means approaching the worst of what I'm sure the elements can dish up. And to
cope with living in such an exposed place, in stone houses, without so much of what we take for granted today only served to remind me how lucky we really are.
